SAY Sí’s 2021 Senior Thesis Exhibition

SAY Sí’s 2021 senior class presents “Expressions of Solitude,” a multidisciplinary virtual art exhibition that sheds light on the experiences and perspectives of youth during a pandemic-affected world.

For SAY Sí’s seniors, artistic expression became a necessary outlet during the worst of COVID-19. Even through the universal feelings of helplessness and loss, students continued to make art to cope and heal. SAY Sí seniors reflected on their shared unusual experiences of isolation and took time to create art as a method of discovering and revealing unique aspects of who they are that they may have not known pre-pandemic.

Seniors express that even through the challenges of solitude, our world has continued to adapt, grow and find hope through the obstacles that we have faced together.
A very special thanks to North East School of the Arts (NESA), The McNay Art Museum, The Maestro Entrepreneur Center, Studios By Alamo and John Hernden for their generous donation of space in order for us to get this show done.
