Bio
Elionas Puente is an upcoming filmmaker based in the San Antonio region, attending Central Catholic Highschool. Throughout his youth Elionas focused his time developing his artistic voice through both film and photography. Elionas seeks to further pursue higher education studying film and eventually continuing with a Career in Film.
Artist Statement
I've been a member of a local after school arts program SAY Sí (San Antonio Youth Sí) for seven years. SAY Sí has enabled me to further express myself through creating polished works such as original short films, photo projects, digital works, mixed-media pieces, and gallery installations. In addition to the professional skills SAY Sí has helped me develop, it has provided me with a cohort of other youth artists. The program has facilitated my creative disposition and encouraged further involvement in my community through the arts. I've found my voice in the arts and an effective way to spark change in my community. By advancing my education, I hope to further my social impact on audiences beyond San Antonio. From screenwriting to editing, an essential vision lies at the center of the entire creative process. This process can often be tedious. Challenges ranging from coming up with a complex story, bringing characters to life, to hunting for a different angle. Despite these obstacles, I've found myself enamored with the life of a storyteller.
