Artist Statement
Storytelling has always been, and will always be, the most powerful form of communication. Whether it be a book, documentary, newspaper article, or a motion picture, the goal of telling a story is to make the audience feel something. My sole purpose in pursuing film production is not to be remembered; it’s to create. It’s not to see my name carved in the Hollywood Walk of Fame or written among the stars of the silver screen, although it would be nice. I’ve chosen to chase my dream of becoming a filmmaker because I am happiest when I’m on set. I feel as if I’m in my element whenever I’m contributing to a production while collaborating with a team, no matter what role I take on. I want nothing more than to create subtly profound narratives for people to analyze, appreciate and extract lessons from so they can apply them to their own lives.
